COVID / Flu Vaccines
The 2025-26 COVID-19 vaccine is now available and 100% covered for anyone 6 months of age and older under the EUTF medical plans.
HMSA Members:
Both COVID-19 and flu vaccines are 100% covered under your HMSA medical plan regardless of whether you receive your vaccine at your physician’s office or at a Hawaii pharmacy. Click the following links for a list of pharmacies in Hawaii that accept HMSA coverage or for more information about the COVID-19 vaccine.
HMSA contracted pharmacies will comply with Gov. Green’s emergency proclamation. Starting October 2025, the COVID-19 vaccine will be made available at these pharmacies to anyone age 3 and older.
CVS locations: If you would like to make an appointment at a Longs Drugs pharmacy, it is easiest to schedule an appointment through the CVS pharmacy mobile app (white app). Upon making your appointment, if you receive a message from your pharmacy that your vaccine is not covered, the pharmacy may just not have your medical insurance on file. Please be sure to take your HMSA membership card to your appointment.
HMSA Medicare Members:
Coverage is provided under Medicare Part B, so please take your Medicare card to your appointment.
Kaiser Permanente Members:
The 2025-26 COVID-19 vaccine is available at no cost for Kaiser Permanente members 6 months and older. Members can walk in or schedule an appointment at 1-833-833-3333. Members can visit kp.org/covidvaccine for current information.
Get your flu shot at no cost. No appointment needed at most locations. Members can visit kp.org/flu for current information.
