What’s New?
Effective January 1, 2024 (unless otherwise specified):

  • Added the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) screening benefit, in accordance with U.S. Preventive Services Task Force Grade A and B recommendations, at the same benefit level as screening services to the EUTF and HSTA VB retiree plans.
  • Increased the benefit maximum for the orthodontic treatment of orofacial anomalies from $5,500 to $6,900 under the EUTF and HSTA VB retiree plans.
  • Added the Virta Diabetes Management Program under the EUTF and HSTA VB retiree plans. There is no member cost share and a lifetime limit of 24 months.
  • Changed to allow coverage of specialty drugs administered in the physician’s office (including ambulatory infusion suites and home IV/infusion sites) under the EUTF and HSTA VB retiree plans effective July 1, 2023. Read for more information on the specialty benefit.
  • Added the AccordantCare Rare program which provides one-on-one, regular phone consultations and coordinated care from registered nurses and other clinicians to patients managing certain rare, complex, and chronic conditions under the EUTF and HSTA VB retiree plans at no cost to the member.
